Confidentiality and Responsibility

• Everyone is responsible for their own actions and words
• We avoid assumptions about other people or their background, roles or capabilities
• We try to be aware of our position of power and act according to it

Listen and Learn

• We don’t hesitate to ask for help – making mistakes and asking questions are important part of learning
• We make space for others to learn and grow
• We give and receive feedback constructively and change our behaviour if necessary

Respect and give space to others

• Everyone has the right to participate without fear of discrimination.
• Inappropriate behaviour is not accepted. Bullying or insulting is not accepted.
• We always respect one’s self-determination and handle sensitive matters appropriately

Intervene and Support

• If you observe a violation of the Safer Space Principles or inappropriate behaviour, intervene or report it
• Safeguarding Officers are available throughout the event
