Nokian Panimo joins as a partner for the Men’s World Floorball Championships, played in Tampere this December. For the Pirkanmaa-based brewery, the partnership is a great opportunity to be involved in an international sports event in its home region and bring local flavors to the home tournament’s atmosphere.
The Men’s World Floorball Championships will be played in Tampere from December 5 to 13, 2026. Sixteen countries will participate in the tournament, and during the event week, Tampere will be filled with floorball fans from around the world. Finland enters the home tournament as the defending world champion, making the starting position for the tournament week in December truly exciting.
For Nokian Panimo, being involved in a home tournament hosted right in Tampere feels especially natural. In the matches played at Hakametsä, tournament guests will also get to enjoy Nokian Panimo’s products as part of the championship atmosphere.
”It is wonderful as a local brewery to join such a great international sports event right in our home area. The home tournament brings a huge number of floorball fans to Tampere, and the atmosphere will certainly be unique. It’s great that while visitors at Hakametsä are cheering on their favorite teams, they also have the opportunity to taste Nokian Panimo’s products,” says Semmi Siltala, Marketing Manager at Nokian Panimo.
“The beauty of hosting a home tournament comes from building a major international event together with local businesses. Nokian Panimo brings local flavor to both domestic and international tournament guests. It is great to have a partner on board with a strong regional identity and story,” rejoices Kati Voutilainen, Secretary General of the Men’s World Floorball Championships.
Much more than just beer
Although Nokian Panimo is known especially for its Keisari beers, the brewery’s selection has expanded significantly over the years beyond beer. Today in Nokia, in addition to beers, products such as long drinks, ciders, soft drinks, sparkling waters, and mocktails are manufactured.
”We want to make good drinks for different moments and different people. That’s why it’s important to us to have a wide range of options from beer to non-alcoholic drinks, lemonades, and sparkling waters. The World Floorball Championships is a great platform for us to showcase this diversity to tournament guests who might not be familiar with Nokian Panimo yet,” Siltala continues.
Combine your tournament trip with a brewery visit
You can also get to know Nokian Panimo outside the tournament stands. Brewery tours are organized at the brewery in Nokia, offering a peek behind the scenes and an introduction to how drinks are made, all the way from production to the finished product.
The Keisari Shop & Taproom operating alongside the brewery offers a more relaxed way to drop by. In the Taproom, you can sit down, explore the brewery’s selection, and spend time in an authentic brewery environment. For World Floorball Championships visitors, it offers an opportunity to add a small local side twist to their trip and see where the Nokian Panimo drinks enjoyed in Hakametsä’s atmosphere come from.
”We want to be more than just a place where drinks are made. For us, the brewery is a place where people can come to explore, enjoy themselves, and experience the atmosphere. Hopefully, as many World Floorball Championships visitors as possible will also find their way to Nokia during the tournament week,” Siltala says.
